DIY Zero-Waste Cleaning Recipes

Making your own cleaning products at home is a fantastic way to reduce waste and avoid harsh chemicals.

  • Ingredients:
    • Distilled white vinegar
    • Water
    • Baking soda
    • Essential oil (e.g., tea tree oil, lavender, lemon)
  • Instructions:
    1. Mix the vinegar and water in a spray bottle.
    2. Add baking soda, allowing it to fizz.
    3. Add your choice of essential oil for a pleasant scent and added antibacterial properties.

  • Ingredients:
    • Distilled white vinegar
    • Water
    • Cornstarch
  • Instructions:
    1. Mix the vinegar and water in a spray bottle.
    2. Add cornstarch and shake well before each use. This helps prevent streaks on glass surfaces.

    • Olive oil
    • Distilled white vinegar

  • Instructions:
    1. Mix the olive oil and vinegar in a bowl.

As we have adapted to the fast paced living and the ready-to-use materials, it is important to remember that we can do this eco-friendly house cleaning ingredients.  This is so beneficial to our health.  It is important to remember the ready to use cleaner has so many toxins in it, no wonder we have so many allergies and autoimmune diseases is rising.

    • Absolutely, my hope is that more people will become aware of the harmful effects of ready-made cleaners not just on the environment but on their general health as well. Most of the ingredients for making our own cleaners are basic items often found in our pantries 🙂
